Tyga: Releases Diss Track Towards Drake Named ‘Make It Work’

Fresh from dissing former label mates Drake and Nicki Minaj in Vibe Magazine. Tyga has decided to channel the beef in new diss track ‘Make It Work‘.

The star made it clear last week that he never liked Drake, he only pretended to befriend him for the sake of relationship with the label (Young Money / Cash Money). But, now that he’s leaving – he no longer has to pretend to like Drake.

On the track the rapper says, “Ni**as wanna take it there, we could take it there,”. He then continues, “why these ni**as wanna test me on the low though,” and more notably “ni**a never was my homie, all these b***hes know you’re corny.”

It will be interesting to see if Drake responds…

More interestingly Nicki Minaj is releasing her third single “Only” tomorrow featuring everyone who Tyga mentioned in his interview last week. The track will serve as the fourth offering from her highly anticipated “The Pinkprint” LP.  At this time we cannot say if the track is the official third single or a promotional single as was “LAN“.

On another note, the track features appearances from Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown – all of which Tyga mentioned in his interview last week.

Do you think Drake respond to Tyga’s diss?

The single was due to premiere worldwide yesterday on Vevo and iTunes, but due to miscommunication, the single was only released in some countries via iTunes. But, the single did see  a worldwide radio release yesterday.

Her positive spirit has shined through, since its release her single has seen a jump in sales. “Pills N Potions” now sits in the number 4 position. This feat hasn’t been accomplished single-handedly by a female rapper since, Minaj‘s release of “Starships.

Nicki Minaj: Releases Promotional Video for Album Title

Anyone that has followed Nicki‘s career knows that she’s full of surprises. Today, the rap star released the promotional video for upcoming album “The Pink Print“.

The star unleashed “Lookin Ass Nigga” without declaring it as an official single — so were sure the song won’t appear on her upcoming album.

While many sites are quoting the song as her new single, the video itself states “Rise Of An Empire” as its album — which just happens to be the title of the upcoming Young Money compilation. So, we here at the Golden Grenade feel the video was just a nice way of announcing the album’s title.

As you may know, Nicki likes speaking in code to her fans and finds pleasure in them riddling it out — to us this is just another riddle.

If you take a look back at the way she’s geared up for previous albums you notice a pattern — promotional singles. She never releases the “Lead Single” without releasing at least one promotional track first.

2010’s Pink Friday: The promotional single used was “Massive Attack“.

2012’s Roman Reloaded: Had multiple promotional singles “Roman In Moscow“, “Stupid Hoe“, and finally “Roman Reloaded” before “Starships” was released as the Lead Single.

There is also another pattern — many of her promotional singles never make the album so why should this be any different? The star has a way of creating a huge buzz around a new album — most times by the use of promotional singles and we believe she’s sticking to her team’s strategic technique.
