After conquering the world four years ago with her record-breaking album ‘21‘ Adele is here to do it again. Early last week Adele teased a new song during the promotional run of on the season of ‘X Factor‘. Today, the aforementioned track titled ‘Hello‘ has sent to pop and adult contemporary radio. The track features Adele’s famous power-house vocals, however the vibe of the track is very different than any of her past work, she more self-reflective, and there’s a new eerie vibe all-together. Not only did the star send the track to radio, it’s also been released digitally and has a brand new video — check it out below!
Yesterday the star announced the release date for Hello‘s parent album. 25, is the name of the new record, and it’s headed for a worldwide release on November 20th.

When asked how ‘25‘ would differ from her previous album ‘21‘ she responded in an online letter saying, “My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. I’m making up for lost time.” The lead single ‘Hello’ both lyrically and sonic-ally lives up to this statement.
In honor of ‘25‘, lets look back at the accolades the star racked up with her last albums ‘21‘
‘21‘ debuted at No. 1 with 352,000 copies sold. The album went on to spend 24 non-consective weeks atop the Billboard Top 200 — which is more weeks than any female artist has occupied the top spot with one album.
The album went on to sell 11.2M units in the U.S., and was the best-selling album of both 2011 and 2012 — becoming the only album outside of Michael Jackson‘s Thriller to be the best-selling album for two calendar years.
‘21‘s success wasn’t only in the U.S., the record went on to sell 30M units worldwide — becoming one of the best selling albums in both the US and Worldwide.
Not only did ‘21‘ as an album do well, it spawned quite a few hit singles as well. ‘21‘ generated three consecutive No. 1 hits. Of all its singles ‘Rolling in the Deep‘ had the longest run at No.1, it occupied the top spot on The Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks. The second single ‘Someone Like You‘ spent five weeks at No. 1, and the album’s last No.1 single ‘Set Fire to the Rain‘ spent two weeks in the top spot.
Today saw Romeo Santos release his Sophomore album “Formula Volume 2“. The Latin star has made the impact on the industry since the release of his debut album.
“Formula Volume 2” currently holds the No.4 spot on the iTunes album chart — and has already scored a Top 40 hit with ‘Odio‘ featuring Drake, the track peaked at No.35.

Days after checking into Timberline Knolls for Rehab, the Popstar has scored another number one hit!
Ke$ha and Pitbull both just earned their 3rd UK No. 1 single, on the Official Charts.”Timber” has also become the first No. 1 single of 2014, in the UK.
The duo also secured the number one spot in the US, dethroning Eminem and Rihanna‘s “The Monster“.
Many ruled out Ke$ha as a threat, because many of her recent singles failed to make an impact on the charts. But, what the masses doesn’t know is, Ke$ha had little to no room to express her creativity with her sophomore album.
Dr.Luke has always held reigns of the young star’s career, but it was his EDM heavy influence that drove this album. By the release of her album, the EDM phase was nearly over. So, majority of her singles fell flat, bringing her career to a screeching halt. He musical direct left many fans and critics confused.
Luke is an international hit-maker, so many thought the pop princess would constantly roll out hits under his supervision — but the deal had an adverse effect on her career.
Many thought the star was over after her “Warrior” era. But, there she is sneaking back up the charts.

Originally ‘Magna Carta‘ had the highest first week with sales of 528K, only to be bested by Drake’s ‘Nothing Was The Same‘ with sales of 658K.
Now that ‘Rap God‘ Eminem is back in the arena, he’s ready to reclaim the throne lyrically and sales wise.
His latest single ‘The Monster‘ has already reached number one in several countries.
While in the US the single debuted at number three but is schedule to top the Billboard Hot 100 next week. Congrats Em!
After Katy’s two week run in the number one spot, Miley swooped in and dethroned her.
This time around Miley decided to study a few pages out of the Taylor Swift manual, and broadcasted her love life for record sales.
Unlike Taylor Swift however, this is Miley‘s first number one on the billboard hot 100 chart. Miley is again, proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
The music video for ‘Wrecking Ball‘ also came in and broke many records. Becoming, the first video to reach 100 Million views in less than one week.
Specifically within the first two days it had already surpassed the number of views of both Katy Perry’s Roar and Lady Gaga’s applause that had been released weeks prior.
