Fancy‘ rapper Iggy Azalea revealed during a twitter discussion that she’s enlisted one of the industry’s top directors for her new music video. As it stands, Lachapelle will be directing the star’s new video.

Lachapelle has worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Huston etc. So, it will be interesting to see what he cooks up with Azalea.

It will be more interesting to see if Iggy will continue her stream of movie recreation. The star has used multiple classics to deliver videos that felt sort of – reductive! Black Widow used ‘Kill Bill‘, and FancyClueless‘, but neither seemed to capture and delivered the iconic quality of the films into their respective videos.

During the discussion, the star also revealed that the original Nov. 24th release date for The New Classic ‘Reclassified’ is unlikely. The star is determined to boost the sales of her debut album. The set has managed to shift 570K Worldwide since it’s release in April, earlier this year.

When you take into account that star has garnered two top-three hits, the sales seem lack luster. Her Problem collaborator ‘Ariana Grande‘ has managed to top these sales with her new LP ‘My Everything‘ in just two months.

So, it’s clear why Azalea chose to re-issue the album. The questions is why is the re-issue facing a possible pushback. Is it because she wants the video to be released before the album, or is it because the day will be flooded with releases from even bigger stars?

Eminem (Shady XV), Beyonce (Beyonce Platinum Edition), and Nicki Minaj (The Pinkprint) will all be releasing their albums on Nov.24th as well. All are typically album sellers, so it would be almost impossible for Azalea to brake through the clutter and come out on top.

Should Azalea push back her re-release? Let us know below
