Bruno has already become one of this generations leading acts by scoring record high album sales but he can now be crowned “King of The Super Bowl”. The star has broken Madonna‘s record for most watched Super Bowl performance — the star managed to garner 115.3 million viewers.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ performance on Sunday night attracted the largest audience in the history of the Super Bowl, attracting 115.3 million viewers, Fox announced Monday, citing Nielsen data.

He earned this feat despite having played during one of the least interesting, un-competitive, and most boring Super Bowl’s to date. Majority of NFL fans began to zone out by halftime because it became obvious who would win; hence why ratings dropped after Bruno‘s performance.

With his album “Unorthodox Jukebox” nearing sales of 2M in the US and 5.3M worldwide it’s clear to see that Bruno has always been a crowd favorite even before Music’s most watched event.

What’s even clearer is that the Super Bowl will further help him solidify himself as an R&B legend!
